The 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Slip-Resistant Medium Resilient Tape 310 is a soft, non-mineral textured anti-slip tape designed to reduce slip and fall risks in wet or barefoot environments. Its medium-textured, cushioned surface offers comfort for bare feet while maintaining slip resistance under light foot traffic.

Engineered for areas exposed to water, this tape is ideal for locker rooms, pool decks, diving boards, boats, stairwells, and food service areas. Its moisture-resistant adhesive backing ensures easy press-on installation and long-lasting adhesion, even in damp conditions.

The product is NFSI certified for high traction and supports compliance with ADA and OSHA guidelines for slip resistance in public spaces.

Application Steps

  1. Surface Preparation

    • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free of oil or contaminants

    • Use a degreaser or isopropyl alcohol for cleaning

    • For rough or porous surfaces, apply a primer (e.g., 3M™ Primer 94) to improve adhesion

  2. Cutting the Tape

    • Cut the tape to the required length

    • Round the corners to minimize edge lifting

  3. Applying the Tape

    • Peel back part of the release liner and position the tape

    • Gradually remove the liner while pressing the tape firmly onto the surface

    • Apply firm, even pressure across the tape as you go

  4. Use a Roller for Bonding

    • Use a rubber hand roller to press the tape down

    • Start from the center and roll outward to ensure full contact and remove air bubbles

  5. Edge Sealing (Optional but Recommended)

    • For extra durability and water resistance, apply 3M™ Edge Sealer along the tape edges

Curing Time

  • Full bond strength develops in 24–48 hours

  • Avoid heavy traffic during this time

Maintenance

  • Clean with mild detergents and water

  • Avoid harsh chemicals that may degrade the adhesive
